Change Clinics / Books

1. Open the Scheduler module and click the Chair tab.
2. Click the Clinic () icon to display the Clinics window.

Note: The () icon behaves differently depending on which tab is open. If on the Active tab, the icon is labeled Book and the Appt. Books window displays.



3. Double-click a listed clinic to select.

Note: Depending on your role, you may also be able to add, modify, or delete clinics. In most cases, these options will be disabled via PowerAdmin.

Books are only applicable for clinics that use Book mode to schedule appointments. There are two types of books you can work with when a clinic is set to Book mode:

• Book by Chair: Each column in the book represents a chair in the clinic and all appointments scheduled for each chair display regardless of the provider.

Example: An Emergency Clinic has three chairs, each displayed as a column and appointments are scheduled into each chair.

• Book by Provider: Each column in the book represents a provider in the clinic and all appointments created for a given provider display, regardless of the appointment’s location.

Example: A faculty practice lists six provider codes, each displayed as a column and appointments are scheduled below them.

If necessary, you can change the book to layout and view appointment information differently.

To change books:

1. Open the Scheduler module and click the Active tab.
2. Click the Book () icon to display the Appt. Books window.

3. Double-click a listed book to select.

Note: Depending on your role, you may also be able to access the Books window from the Modify… button and add, modify, or delete books. In most cases, this button will be disabled via PowerAdmin.

Important: The contents of the Active tab do not change.
